Her work, under the label “ZILZOM,” showcases Ladakh’s story through prints, materials, local craftsmanship, traditional techniques, and organic fabrics, weaving them into timeless creations. The property minimizes plastic usage by providing eco-friendly bathroom amenities in paper packaging and refilled water in glass bottles. Solar panels harness Ladakh’s abundant sunlight to provide hot water, and a sewage treatment plant treats and reuses water for watering plants. These efforts are a reflection of the owners’ deep-rooted passion and personal commitment to preserving their homeland. Adding to the charm are handwoven decorative pillow covers and bed runners, designed by their in-house team and skillfully crafted by women artisans of Ladakh. The bed runners, using local Ladakhi textiles, add a unique touch of local craftsmanship to each room.
